ASP 2026

The 48th Meeting of the American Society of Primatologists

June 17-20, 2026

We hope you’ll join us in Arlington, VA, for what is sure to be an amazing 48th ASP conference. 2026 is the 50th anniversary of the incorporation of the American Society of Primatologists and we look forward to celebrating this milestone with us at our annual meeting. The meeting will be held at the Crystal Gateway Marriott (1700 Richmond Hwy, Arlington, VA 22202) from June 17th – 20th, 2026.

To recognize the 50th anniversary of ASP we will host a dedicated symposium entitled Looking at the Past, the Present and to the Future: What Is to Come for Primatology? To learn more about how to participate in this symposium, and the planned special issue associated with it, please read this announcement.

Please continue to keep checking this page for updates about the program, accommodations, and registration information.

Conference Program

The Program for ASP 2026 is now live! The online program is the best way to keep up to date with any changes and is where you can find detailed information about various sessions and presentations, but an abbreviated printable version will be made available closer to the conference.

ASP is offering 14.25 RACE credits for veterinarians and veterinary technicians (10.25 Medical, 4.0 Non-Medical). Sessions with eligible talks have a green RACE Credits icon in the online program, and individual talks are designated with “[RACE]” at the end of the title. An abbreviated RACE-credit specific printable program and checklist will be available closer to the conference.

Registration

Registration for the conference is now open! To register, click here or login, go to My Profile, and click “Register for ASP 2026”.

When you register for ASP 2026, don’t forget to order your conference t-shirt! The custom design by ASP member and ASP 2026 local host Abby McClain celebrates the 50th anniversary of the society. If you have already registered, but would like to add a t-shirt to your order, you can update your registration within your ASP member portal (click “my profile” in the top right corner of the screen). Each shirt costs $25.

Hotel Information

Accommodations are available at the Crystal Gateway Marriott (1700 Richmond Hwy, Arlington, VA 22202), the site of the meeting. Standard rooms are available for a specially negotiated rate of $189/night (plus any applicable taxes). Book your room via this dedicated reservations link. In the remarks box, please note whether you want a double or single room. NOTE: If you need to modify your reservation, you must use the same link.

Transport and Logistics

We strongly recommend flying into Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA) to get to the conference location. The conference hotel is conveniently located just one stop away on the Blue or Yellow Metro Lines at the Crystal City station.

You can purchase a physical Metro pass at the airport station or add a digital SmarTrip card to your phone’s wallet or use a tap enabled credit card for “tap to pay” access. The DC metro system is clean, efficient, and easy to navigate – more details to come about how to use the metro like a local!

Flight prices are often comparable, but you may find more direct options by flying into Dulles (IAD) or Baltimore/Washington (BWI) depending on where you are flying in from. While these can sometimes be cheaper, please note they are significantly further away from the conference venue. An Uber or taxi from IAD or BWI can easily cost $60–$90, potentially offsetting any savings on your airfare.

For more tips on local and national travel, as well as important information about Metro closures, please read this welcome packet from the local hosts.
